Supporting floriculture in Virginia
We're already a quarter of the way into a new century, and it's astounding how quickly time flies. Amidst the constant changes, some things remain unchanged. Our inherent need for a touch of nature, a comforting hug, and peace to soothe our minds is timeless.
Entering our 6th season of this flower farm venture, we have ambitious plans ahead, yet our core principles remain unchanged. We're set to open a studio space and expand our retail presence, all while maintaining our commitment to local flowers. Whether sourced from our own fields, a neighboring flower farmer, or grown in Ohio or California, they're still local. Our mission is to support the American floriculture industry, a sector that was flourishing in the U.S. just 60 years ago.
Absolutely, it's an ambitious goal to believe that a few small farm operations can influence consumer perceptions. To redefine what is considered local, fresh, seasonal, and worthy of their spending. I'm committed to it.
If you've been here from the beginning...thank you for your support. If you are new here welcome to the journey! I look forward to meeting you somewhere along the way. Perhaps during one of our workshops or open studio nights at the studio. Maybe we will meet at a local small business meeting and chat about the lows and highs our industries. Better yet, you might reserve a date for yourself and some friends for some classic time spent in nature in the flower fields.
Wishing you the very best until then.
